There are many opportunities for professionals with Asterisk knowledge and experience. Other students grew their businesses by leasing Asterisk boxes as a service, many in the cloud. In our region 9 out of 10 Contact Centers use Asterisk do deliver its services.Ī large amount of students who took our classes are now providing services or founded companies to work with Asterisk, Many of them developed dialers, call centers and other applications. No more time spent discussing complicated licensing schemes. You will have the freedom to deliver your own solutions. Any ideas? I have all kinds of stuff, but most of it is boxed up now, maybe a ebay project soon. This training will teach you how to install Asterisk in an Ubuntu Server, build a complete, fully functional PBX with basic and advanced features.Īsterisk is a great opportunity for thousands of developers, resellers, system integrators, ITSPs, contact centers and small to large companies. Does the SIP system do anything like this? I just want a intercom that the other person can talk back without having to run over and hit the talk button. So it sounds like some of you have the same issue I am wanting also. Paid for it, I up date it, but don't use it. I have the SIP plug in, but never ever figured it out. I think VOIP is the way to go, tons of features you can do within you home. I am just to the point to find a intercom system that has the auto answer feature. I hate running a lot of different programs. Didn't even care about the auto answer, just to us it to page all the house phones and have a conversation Via Homeseer. I have a ton of HSphone stuff also, hoping homeseer would show some interest in it to make changes to the paging system. I would love a way to get a system, any system to have a intercom system in my home, that had the auto answer where the other person does not have to hit the talk button. I never could get it to work, or help to find out how to make it work. Before this I kept trying to find out how to make HSPhone work as paging, It is in the menu as a option. I loved this system, it worked perfect for my house, just as a paging, intercom system, the telephone system was a great deal also. I have a bunch of IP phones (Grandstream gpx-2000), plus I used Linksys gateway. Its a hassle, where as they could talk back from where they was standing. Now we have a intercom system that you push the talk button and the other person has to come over to the intercom to talk back. I would love to have a system like this again at the new house. I loved to be able to call an area in the house from another area, or even a group of areas, say what I wanted, and the person could respond back with out having to run over to the phone, or the intercom. I love the price of using IP telephone system, plus with this I was using a paging system with was great. When we lived in the city I had cable internet, had VOIP phone all through the house, I also used the free version of 3cx. If you ever looked at it, you would find out how expensive it is. We just moved into the country where internet is only available by satellite. This sound like a group that I am interested in I'm also waiting for a Cisco CP-7940G which looks to be a decent hardphone with many features, and it's dead cheap.īut if you have any suggestions on good (meaning "good value for money") phones I'd be happy to hear about it. X-lite 4, which looks good, does NOT offer auto answer (after version 3).Īny pointers on a decent softphone with a good Auto Answer? Other open source clients might have auto answer too, but most of the look absolutely horrible, creates unnecessary windows, etc. I've tried various products, and the only one I've found to be somewhat OK is Yate. I have yet to find a definite answer on this, perhaps because those who use it already know the answer.Īnd finding a decent softphone with "Auto answer" turned out to be difficult. I am worried that setting a bunch of clients up with "Auto answer" will immediate answer the external calls too. I'm waiting on a Linksys SPA 3102 to get my analog line in the mix, AND my old analog phones. Will it only work "Auto Answer" on calls that are marked as this? Or will in fact *all calls* be auto answering? but I'm confused about how "Auto Answer" works.
